I (Stuart - the skipper's son, crew and chief-hot-chocolate-maker on the Misty Isle!) thought it would be nice to keep you all up to date with anything new happening in the area of Loch Coruisk, Elgol, and even further afield around the Isle of Skye. After trying to figure out the best way of doing this, I started the Loch Coruisk blog in 2008.
Late in the spring of 2009, after a long period of inactivity, the blog was relaunched. To ensure more regular updates and a wider appeal we plan to eventually have a number of local contributors who will be keeping you up to date with goings in in Elgol and the Isle of Skye generally. And to try and spice up the blog a little I have purchased a little pocket digital video camera and will try throughout the season to bring you some of the best of the scenery around Loch Coruisk and the Cuillins and let you see the Loch - and other places - like you have never seen before! You can now see what the area is like during all seasons and climates. Our hope is to inspire you to come and experience Elgol and Loch Coruisk first-hand.
