Seumas the younger regaled us with local information and amusing stories whilst Dad Sandy steered the boat to places of interest like the seal colony and would stop the boat to let us watch and photo porpoises and other interesting wildlife.
The highlight was when we landed ashore and took the short walk to Loch Coruisk, possibly the most beautiful place in the UK !!!!!. We had about and hour and a half ashore and on our return to the boat we were given a hot drink of our choice and biscuits. Then a boat full of excitedly chattering tourists were transported back to Elgol where we reluctantly got off the boat. Would definitely recommend Misty Isle cruises. I’ve already booked another trip for September!!!

  First visit to Elgol and we had the pleasure of taking one of the Misty Isle boats out for a tour of Loch Coruisk and the Cuillins. The boat itself... read more was clean and had facilities if needed. The staff (Coral and Sandy) were extremely pleasant and the skipper really added to the trip with his stories of local history and interesing facts about the area. The scenery was gorgeous and plenty of time given for a nice walk around the loch before we made the trip back.
Highly recommend this tour and will be bringing friends and family on it in the future. Tapadh leat!

  My sister and her family came over from Boston Usa and we decided on a wee weekend up to Skye ...suggestions on what to do were made and one... read more was Misty Isles Boat Trip ..and how glad we decided to do this trip ..one of the reasons on taking the trip was the fact they allow dogs and we have an "old seadog"called pele aged 13 who goes on holiday with us ..Sandy and Seamus were great at lifting him on and off the boat as well as helping us all ...Seamus tells a good story en route with fact and some tongue in cheek yarnsIm also sure if Sandy had been born in the time of Bonnie prince charlie Flora macdonald wouldnt have needed to take him over sea to Skye as Sandy would have ..We saw plenty seals and then enough time onshore fr our picnic we brought and to take photos of the stunning landscape ...Return journey hot refreshements and biscuits ....great value for money great crew who made the trip for us as well as the beautiful Loch Coruisk ..

The views speak for themselves so this trip adds to it. A warm drink and shortbread welcomes you back on board once time has been spent by Loch Coruisk or up on the outcrops gorging on the breathtaking vistas. A must for anyone wanting that up close experience with these amazing mountains without the climbing.

We were lucky enough to see... read more a sea eagle flying above us but sadly no dolphins which had been out the previous two days. We went for the standard trip giving us 1.5 hours on land which was just enough with a toddler. She loved seeing the seal colony. All in all a fantastic experience. We’ll definitely be back to do it all again. My mum is local and tells me the MacKinnons of Elgol have been doing the boat tours here for generations. Isn’t that lovely. Highly recommend for spectacular scenery, wildlife if you’re lucky and great story telling!

  Amazing storyteller ( the son of the capitain) amazing views , we had a really nice boat trip and great hike into the wild mountains of skye . I would highly recommend!
